Helaine is a technology specialist who originally worked in investment banking in Korea for JP Morgan and Citi, where she interacted with senior management from the largest companies operating in the sector, such as LG and Samsung. Helaine moved into private equity whilst in London. Helaine also has a Master's in Finance from London Business School.

Ed Stacey


Edward has a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Oxford and has used his mathematical skills to excel as a support services analyst at HSBC and Societe Generale. During his time in investment banking, Ed covered numerous blue chip stocks such as Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems and Airbus.

Barney Gray


Barney is an independent equity research analyst with nearly 22 years’ experience. His primary focus is the oil and gas sector where he has particular expertise in the junior E&P sector in addition to experience of renewable energy, power generation and unconventional energy companies within the wider market. Prior to establishing himself as an independent consultant in 2015, Barney was Head of Research at both Old Park Lane Capital PLC from 2010 to 2015 and Westhouse Securities Ltd (now Stockdale Securities) from 2005 to 2010. Christopher Ecclestone


Prior to founding Hallgarten & Company in 2003 he was the head of research at an economic thinktank in New Jersey which he had joined in 2001. Before moving to the U.S., he was the founder and head of research at the esteemed Argentine equity research firm, Buenos Aires Trust Company, from 1991 until 2001. Prior to his arrival in Argentina, he worked in London beginning in 1985 as a corporate finance and equities analyst and as a freelance consultant on the restructuring of the securities industry. Earlier, he worked for the Federal and State governments in Australia. He is a native of Melbourne, Australia. He graduated in 1981 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Emma Ulker


Emma has over 15 years’ experience as an equity analyst mainly across the biotech, pharma and med tech sectors, including more than 10 years as an analyst at Edison Group where she covered a range of pan-European mid-cap stocks. More recently she has worked as a consultant, writing for Equity Development as well as Trinity Delta and Progressive Research. She started in the City on the equity sales desk at SG Securities, marketing UK equities to European fund managers. Emma focuses on providing clear, insightful and readable analysis.
